Supervisor Stewart Newsletter
Welcome to the Maricopa County District 1 newsletter! I am honored to be the newly elected District 1 Supervisor for Maricopa County. Thank you for this opportunity to serve, your trust fuels my commitment to lead with heart and dedication.
I have previously served on the Chandler City Council, where I championed initiatives that prioritized safe neighborhoods, community engagement, and economic growth. My core belief is that the most effective government operates minimally yet efficiently, staying true to the principles our founding fathers envisioned. I stand firmly for transparency in government, and as your County Supervisor, I promise that customer services will become synonymous with Maricopa County.
My priorities for Maricopa County are the following:
-
PUBLIC SAFETY: Safe communities are the foundation for a thriving region. I am dedicated to supporting law enforcement and empowering individuals who protect Maricopa County. A proactive and visible commitment to public safety ensures a safer, more stable environment for all residents.
-
TRANSPARENCY AND TRUST: Transparency is essential to building trust between government and citizens. I am committed to creating a trustworthy and transparent Board of Supervisors where every decision is made with the community's interest at the top of mind.
-
OUTSTANDING COMMUNITY SERVICE: I view the county government as a service-oriented organization that should treat residents as valued customers. I am steadfast on making county services efficient, accessible, and respectful of taxpayers' contributions.
The first Thursday of every month I will be distributing this newsletter to keep you up-to-date with Maricopa County. Every month you’ll be able to see how I am spending my time, watch clips from our formal Board meetings, learn about County events and community involvement, plus more!

I am committed to working with my colleagues and the County Manager to ensure that we find a commonsense approach between parental oversight and community trust.
