Agua Fria School District STEMCon 2025
Adam Couch, Jorge Quintero and Donell Taylor made their way to the northwest valley to represent Flood Control at Agua Fria School District's STEMCon 2025! The build-a-dam kit was a hit for all ages as students from across the valley learned about all things STEM.
"Remind Me Again... Is Stormi a Dog or a Coyote?"
In preparation for an upcoming event, the IOS Team worked with Reprographics to acquire a life-size Stormi print! Coming in at roughly 4 feet tall, Stormi is excited to get out into the field and engage with youngsters from all over Maricopa County!
Spring has Sprung
Spring has pretty much sprung in Maricopa County, and the plants all over the Durango Campus are reaching for the sunlight! Take a moment to walk around campus and spot all the flourishing flora meticulously placed around all the green stormwater infrastructure strategies implemented in around our offices.
Tres Rios Nature Festival is Back!
Speaking of the environment... This weekend, February 22nd and 23rd from 10:00am-3:00pm, the City of Avondale is hosting their yearly Tres Rios Nature Festival, showcasing the ecological relationships of our local nature area. Between guided bird tours, beautiful eco-crafts and lots of local vendors (including Flood Control!), there is something for everybody at Tres Rios.
