Supervisor Brophy McGee's Message
Thank you for subscribing to Maricopa County's District 3 newsletter. As your newly elected District 3 Supervisor, please accept my deepest thanks for the opportunity to serve you. It has been the honor of my life to dedicate the past 26 years to public service—starting as a neighborhood leader and school board president - followed by a decade in the state legislature. I am committed to strengthening our communities and ensuring our government works for you, and I look forward to working together to make that happen.
My priorities are clear:
-
Public Safety – Supporting law enforcement, tackling the fentanyl crisis, and prosecuting crimes that erode our quality of life.
-
Election Integrity – Ensuring secure, transparent elections with efficient processes that protect in-person voting.
-
Economic Development – Keeping taxes low, fostering smart growth, cutting red tape for businesses, and securing our water future.
-
Constituent Services – Connecting county services with local government to keep our neighborhoods and businesses flourishing.
I have attached a video for you to learn more!
This newsletter will be sent quarterly to keep you informed about key county and district initiatives. My goal is to ensure you stay connected and engaged with the issues that impact our community.
Please invite your friends and neighbors to subscribe to our District 3 Newsletter. Here is the link, Maricopa.gov/SubscribeD3

Acacia Heights
The Board of Supervisors has committed $1.6 million into phase II of Acacia Heights, which is a collaborative community project with Catholic Charities Community Services (CCCS), Housing for Hope, and Trinity Housing Development. Acacia Heights will help address the growing need for affordable housing particularly in Central Phoenix. For residents, like Lorena Pacheco this campus symbolizes a fresh start. I look forward to the many long-term benefits and resources that Acacia Heights will bring the local community.
Thank you Sergeant Scott
Recently, I was privileged to attend the East Sunnyslope Block Watch & Neighborhood Association (ESBWNA) meeting. Neighbors received important safety updates and learned about causes of homelessness, and how to constructively respond.
The highlight of the evening was joining Councilwoman Deb Stark in honoring ESSBWNA’s own Sergeant Scott with the 2025 Community Hero Award. Sergeant Scott’s wife and children were also presented with awards and thanks from the community for so selflessly sharing him with the ESSBWNA community. It was a really special moment.

Happy Birthday Maricopa County & Arizona
Did you know that Maricopa County was created 41 years before Arizona became a state? Although Maricopa County and Arizona share the same February 14th birthday, Maricopa County was established in 1871, and Arizona became the 48th state in 1912. Happy 154th birthday to our exceptional county and happy 113th birthday to our beautiful state!
