As my six years on the Maricopa County Board of Supervisors comes to a close, I can't help but reflect on this incredible journey. Serving as your County Supervisor has been one of the greatest honors of my life, and I am deeply grateful to the people of District 1 for giving me the opportunity to work on their behalf.
Throughout these years, I have been fortunate to collaborate with dedicated colleagues and a talented team of Maricopa County staff. Each day presented opportunities for learning and growth, and I will always carry with me fond memories of our shared experiences and achievements.
One of the most meaningful aspects of my time in office was the countless conversations I had with you, the constituents. These exchanges played a crucial role in shaping my priorities, broadening my perspective, and guiding my decisions. I will forever cherish the personal stories you shared, the insights behind your viewpoints, and the respectful discussions we had even when our opinions differed. Your grace and willingness to engage in meaningful conversations have made a lasting impression, and I encourage you to continue this approach with my successor and other elected officials. It is through this mutual respect and understanding that we all can grow, both as leaders and as people.
Thank you for your tremendous support throughout my time in office. It has been a true privilege to serve you, and I leave with a heart full of gratitude.
