Reasons to Vote Early
|
|
|
There are some good reasons to vote early in this year’s General Election.
A longer ballot (two pages front and back) and high expected turnout will lead to longer than normal lines at Vote Centers on Election Day. You can save time by casting your ballot early. Tomorrow is the last recommended day to mail back your ballot. Whether you prefer to mail it or drop it off at one of our secure locations, if we receive your ballot by this Friday, November 1, it will likely be included in the first batch of results we report at 8 pm on Election Night.
Prefer to vote in-person? We have more than 50 locations open this week if you’d like to cast your ballot ahead of time. To find a Vote Center that’s convenient for you, visit Locations.Maricopa.Vote.

How We Prepared for a Longer Ballot & Higher Expected Turnout
Maricopa County will have more than 4,000 temporary election workers helping to administer a free and fair General Election. The increase in staff is just one of the ways we’ve prepared for the possibility that hundreds of thousands of voters will cast their ballots in person on Election Day. Learn what else we’ve done to speed things along in the video above.

What if I Want to Vote on Election Day?
That’s great! We’d love to welcome you to one of 246 vote anywhere Vote Centers that will be available to registered voters across Maricopa County. Vote Centers will be open from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. As long as you’re in line by 7, you will be allowed to cast your ballot. You can view a sample ballot at BeBallotReady.vote and decide where you want to vote by visiting Locations.Maricopa.Vote.
A note: while Maricopa County voters have the convenience of dropping their early ballot off at any of our Vote Centers up until 7 p.m. on Election Day, keep in mind that tabulation of those “late earlies” will take a little longer since we’ll still need to go through all the verification processes that ensure only legal votes count.

Help Shape the County’s Future Growth
Maricopa County is asking for public input as we work to update the county’s Comprehensive Plan, a vital document that guides county decisions on future growth, development, and preservation through the year 2040. As Chairman Jack Sellers points out, the plan “guides our decisions on land use, transportation, housing, open space, and more.” Public input sessions kick off next month.

Happy Tails
"We had been looking for a large dog for quite a while. One late afternoon June 2023, we saw Ghost, a white shepherd standing behind a young German shepherd pup. The puppy was about six months old while Ghost was full grown. The puppy was at the gate in the kennel jumping and begging for us to pick him. After much fuss by the puppy, Ghost gently put his paw on the pup, pulled him back and came to the fence for his turn. We laughed at Ghost’s antics and said that’s the one. He is a joy, a gentleman and a big goofball. He completely fits into our family."
