Arizona’s First Holocaust Education Center
I am proud that my office provided a $2 million investment for the new Arizona Holocaust Education Center. It is important to me to support this much needed cultural and historical project. Located in Downtown Phoenix and set to open in April 2027, this state-of-the-art facility will be Arizona's first Holocaust Education Center and is expected to welcome 50,000 visitors annually. My funding will subsidize fees for local school students to visit the center at no cost.

Important message for Voters! With the first 2-page ballot since 2006, there are many contests and candidates to vote on. Save time and avoid lines by voting early in person or by mail. It will save you time and help us report more results on election night.
Board of Supervisors Approves Additional Funding for Apprenticeship Program
My colleagues and I have approved an additional $500,000 to expand our apprenticeship opportunities, helping even more residents build the skills they need for success. Since the program launched in 2022, it has already supported 1,703 participants, and we’re aiming to reach 3,000 by 2026! The County has invested over $12 million in developing a skilled workforce for high-demand careers like healthcare, IT, construction, and advanced manufacturing. Participants benefit from national industry certifications, tuition assistance, hands-on training, resume support, and the chance to earn while they learn.

What to Chew in District 2
This month we are thrilled to highlight Cielito Rosa Bakery, a viral, pink-themed café in Mesa, known for thier handmade Mexican sweet bread (pan dulce). It was founded by Secilia Zamudio and Yvonne Callison, who met at a gym and celebrate their Mexican heritage from Querétaro and Chihuahua through their pastries and drinks.
Cielito Rosa is excited to announce the opening of its second location in downtown Phoenix. What began as a dream between hardworking moms has grown, thanks to the incredible support of the community. The new location will offer fresh, made-from-scratch Mexican-inspired pastries and coffee with a modern twist, bringing the same love and warmth as the original shop. The new location will open near 7th Avenue and McDowell Road in Phoenix and is slated to open on November 9th.
