Carefree: Full Time Deputy Sheriff Year Round
I’m happy to share that my colleagues and I recently voted on an important amendment with the Town of Carefree for law enforcement services. This agreement will bring a full-time deputy to the town for a year to help with traffic enforcement. We’ve also included a provision for extra personnel when needed. This will go into effect on October 1, 2024. I want to thank the Sheriff's department for their hard work and Mayor John Crane for being such a great partner. The Town of Carefree is an important part of District 2, and we appreciate their patience and support!

What to Chew in District 2
This month, we're thrilled to highlight il Capo Pizzeria, a beloved staple in Scottsdale's dining scene. Owned by James Rana, Capo Pizzeria has been a beloved part of the community for over a decade, serving homemade family recipes that include pizza, pasta, gelato, and fresh salads, alongside a thoughtfully curated selection of wine, beer, and cocktails.
The tradition of making their famous gelato began in the 1970s with James's grandfather here in Arizona. Since 2014, his father has also been brewing beer, adding another layer of family craftsmanship. As a third-generation owner, James has spent the last ten years perfecting the art of pizza-making, continuing his family's legacy with passion and dedication.
