Mesa: East Valley Safety Fair
Last month, I had the privilege of collaborating with County Attorney Rachel Mitchell, Sheriff Skinner, Chief Cost, Superintendent Fourlis, and representatives from the City of Mesa to discuss the various efforts we are employing to ensure community safety. County Attorney Rachel Mitchell also announced a new campaign called REPORT, DON’T REPOST to help curb teen violence. Remember, sharing videos of a crime does not aid in the investigation. When you witness something, please report it — don’t repost it.
Mesa: Funding for Youth Transitioning Out of Foster Care at EVIT
I'm very proud to sponsor this effort in which my district office is contributing $150,000 to the East Valley Institute of Technology (EVIT). HopeTech, a newly built 64-bed residence hall, will receive support to help young adults exiting foster care obtain safe housing while receiving career technical training at EVIT. HopeTech is the first program of its kind in Arizona, combining housing and support services for foster youth with career training

Flinn Brown Academy, Invitation to Panel
I recently had the privilege of being a panelist at the Flinn Brown Academy. It was a truly rewarding experience to engage with a dynamic group of leaders on various topics related to county operations and governance. Their passion and commitment to driving positive change in our communities were truly inspiring, and I’m excited to witness the remarkable impact they will make in the years ahead.
Animal Care: 1100 Adoptions in 30 Days!
Can we get to 1,100 adoptions in 30 days? Right now, more dogs are coming in than are leaving. It's an unsustainable number. But an extra 150 adoptions can turn the tides for both the animals and the people who care for them. Share. Spread the word. There are 4.5 million residents in Maricopa County. Every single adoption will help us reach our goal and ultimately improve the lives of our animals!
