Election Recounts
Recounts: What Are They and When Do They Happen?
In Arizona, a recount must be performed following a general, primary, special, or recall election if the margin of votes, based on the official canvass, between the two candidates receiving the highest number of votes for a particular office, or the votes cast for and against a ballot measure, are equal to 1/2 of 1% or less of the total number of votes cast for the top two candidates or the ballot measure in question. If a recount occurs, it will be performed under observation by the county’s political observers. Upon canvassing of statewide results by the Arizona Secretary of State, a recount can begin in Maricopa County. Results are not released at any time during the recount and provided to the Judge under seal after the completion of the recount. The results are then read aloud in court. Visit AutomaticRecounts.Maricopa.Vote for more information.

Happy Tails
At the end of last year, I started looking for a dog for protection, as I live alone in a rural area. I looked at a lot of different dogs. All amazing, but weren't quite the right for me. Until I saw Mylee (now Parker), she was a chow mix. She was protective without being aggressive. I reached out to her foster and adopted her soon after. She is everything I was looking for and more! She is very sweet, but not clingy. (She is true to the chow breed in being quite cat like.) She alerts to anything she finds suspicious. I feel much safer with Parker the Pocket Protector in my life.
