"I'm Proud to Vote for a Budget That Puts Taxpayers First"
On June 24, the Board unanimously approved the final FY 2025 budget, trimming the overall County budget by 11% and cutting the property tax rate for a fourth straight year.
- Maricopa County is making significant investments in high-priority areas like public safety (nearly 50% of overall budget), election administration, and workforce development.
- A focus on public safety funding ensures essential services like law enforcement, jails, probation, courts, and criminal justice receive necessary support.
- The County budget includes taxpayer protections, with the tax levy $257.1 million below the state maximum. All federal post-pandemic relief dollars have been allocated and are benefiting the community.
- County programs for quality-of-life improvements, including affordable housing, homelessness prevention, career and education opportunities, and public health infrastructure enhancement.
I’m VERY PROUD of this budget! I’ve voted for property tax rate cuts each year I’ve been in office. Maintained investment in public safety. The County is in great financial shape. Protecting the Maricopa County taxpayer is my #1 priority.

Statement Condemning Federal Oversight of Phoenix Police Department
“The announcement made today by the U.S. Department of Justice to seek federal oversight of the Phoenix Police Department is a shameful and unfounded decision by the federal government. The Phoenix Police Department has a long-standing history of implementing reforms and addressing issues within the agency to maintain the integrity of the profession."
