MCDPH MRC had 50 volunteers assist with moving patients and equipment from the old Valleywise hospital building to the new one. This move was an enormous amount of work and the folks at Valleywise were very grateful for the help. If you were one of the 50, THANK YOU for your selfless contribution to the people of Maricopa County!
As temperatures rise, the need for heat relief volunteers is increasing. All of the signups can be found on our portal which you can access using the link below "View Signups" at the bottom of this email. As new respite centers open, we will add them to the portal and send an email letting you know. You can bookmark the portal in your browser and check it anytime for available shifts. Additionally, you can track heat deaths and illnesses on the Heat Report website that is updated weekly. Together we can help keep that number as low as possible.
