Maricopa County is excited to announce the upcoming launch of our new online permitting system, Permit Center! Permit Center is designed to better serve residents, developers, contractors, consultants, and anyone else who does business with Maricopa County. It will consolidate existing permitting systems across multiple county departments into a single, comprehensive platform for all your permitting and planning needs, including reviews, inspections, invoice payments, and more.
County departments that will be using Permit Center include Environmental Services, Planning & Development, the Flood Control District and the Department of Transportation (MCDOT). Air Quality permits will continue to be managed in the system they are currently using today.

What to Expect During and After the Permit Center Launch
During
The ability to submit permit applications will be temporarily closed from Thursday, June 13, at 3 p.m. through Sunday, June 16. Submissions will resume on Monday, June 17, at 8 a.m. No applications can be submitted during this transition period.
For an emergency utility clearance permit and inspection, please email PNDInspections@maricopa.gov with your name, phone number, address and parcel number, and the specific utility clearance you are requesting.
- These requests are for any life safety event and for an address that does not have an active permit currently issued.
- Fees will be assessed post go-live in the new system.
After
Once the new system is live on Monday, June 17, at 8 a.m., you will be able to register for Permit Center. Each user will need to register using a unique email address. To access existing permits, you must register using the email address you used in the old system (Accela).
If your company uses a shared email address in Accela, you will have a few more steps to take after registration to ensure everyone needing access to the company's records can do so. But don't worry; we'll provide additional information on how to do that on Monday, June 17, when the new system is online. Moving forward, all new permit applications will be submitted through Permit Center.
