The 2024 All Hands Barbecue was a success! After some words from Paul Baughman, division managers served up some carne and pollo asado to everyone who attended. HUGE shoutout to Isaac Flores, Rafael De La Paz and the O&M chefs who made this entire event possible!

Members from the District represented at the ALERT Users Group (AUG) Conference held near Yosemite National Park! Dr. Jonny Malloy, Michael Ramirez, Eric Thomas and Connor Layton soaked up all the scenery and hydrology they could. Shoutout to Connor for the scenic photos!

As the heat of the summer season slowly approaches, the cacti planted around the Durango Campus are beginning to show their true colors! Jorge Quintero casually captured these plants on his way in to work.


Rock You Like a Hurricane (Harbor)

Hurricane Harbor (located directly next to Adobe Dam) hosted District employees for an exclusive education event earlier this week. Adam Couch, Morgan Eslick, Kim McMahon, Donell Taylor, Eric Thomas and Nicole Wagner took the flood model to show County residents how flooding happens in the desert!

A field rep from the Arizona Department of Water Resources recently took a visit to the McMicken Dam Phase 1 auxiliary spillway to inspect the joint at one of the upstream apron slabs. He might need help counting these rebars...
