Crossroads Recovery Center Tour
I recently joined Attorney Rachel Mitchell, along with Crossroads staff and board members, to tour and learn more about the extensive services provided by Crossroads. Our visit aimed to deepen our understanding of the support they offer to both clients and the broader recovery community. I'm grateful for the opportunity to gain insights into their mission and the important role Crossroads plays in promoting healing and recovery.

Dinner with the Consul General of Israel
I had the privilege of attending a special reception hosted in honor of the Consul General of Israel to the Pacific Southwest, Israel Bachar for his first visit to Arizona. It was an honor to be among elected officials and community leaders for an intimate dinner and conversation with the Consul General. I am committed to working with all of you to combat and defeat the scourge of anti-Semitism in our community.

District 2 Community Spotlight
Welcome to our Community Spotlight, where we shine a light on the incredible individuals, businesses, organizations, and initiatives making a difference in our community.
This month, we're thrilled to highlight Marilyn Thiele Wilson of Mesa. Marilyn was born in Iowa where she was a former Jr. High teacher. In 1970 Marilyn and her husband Ralph (Val) relocated to Mesa and she has cherished every minute of it. In 1980 Marilyn was elected to her first term on the Mesa Governing Board, the largest school district in Arizona, where she served for 16 years. She was Mesa’s Woman of the year in 1984 and has served as President of numerous community boards including the Arizona School Boards Association, Mesa Public Library, Mesa Judicial Advisory Board, and the Child Crisis Center. To her great surprise, in 1996, the Mesa Public School District named its new elementary school Marilyn Thiele Wilson Elementary. Marilyn currently serves on the Mesa Arts Center Foundation Board and Mesa Public Schools Foundation Board. Marilyn and her husband are grateful to have three wonderful children, three children-in-law and six grandchildren.
