 MCSO Sheriff Russ Skinner
Please join me in congratulating Sheriff Russ Skinner on his appointment.
On February 8, 2024, my colleagues and I appointed Russ Skinner as the new Sheriff for the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO). Before becoming the new Sheriff, Russ served as the Chief Deputy for the past 6 years and brings with him over 33 years of valuable MCSO law enforcement experience. Sheriff Skinner has been a proven leader in the organization under both Republican and Democratic Sheriffs and will bring certainty and continuity to the agency, which is good for staff and the community as a whole. I look forward to continuing my working relationship with Sheriff Skinner and am eager for the Sheriff and I to meet with the Posse’s for both the Sun City and Sun City West communities, as well as to discuss the needs and challenges facing the West Valley communities in my district.
