As you may know the state of Arizona was awarded $2 million dollars in a grant to build MRC capacity throughout Arizona. The COVID response demonstrated how essential MRC units are around the country so ASPR the Association for Strategic Preparedness and Response is investing in the future of MRC. Our first statewide meeting was held on December 5th bringing together our public health volunteer leaders throughout the state to begin our strategic plans to utilize these funds to make MRC’s STTRONG. Maricopa County MRC is the lead agency for this initiative. Great things are happening here in AZ and we look forward to sharing our progress with you.

While bilingual is a plus, it is NOT a must. Please don't hesitate to signup if you are interested in this opportunity.
The IRC is a global humanitarian aid and rescue organization that directly responds to humanitarian emergencies. Temporary emergency volunteers who are interested in helping asylum-seeking families and individuals recently arriving in Arizona are needed through January.
