FEATURE EVENTS

Baseball Clinic

On Saturday December 2nd, Supervisor Gallardo, with the help of his office and advanced high school baseball players, held a free baseball clinic in the Milwaukee Brewers Spring Training Facility. This event was an amazing opportunity for middle and high school students looking to learn many skills and mechanics involved with competitive baseball. The students were grouped up and had a rotation of drills that involved infield/outfield practice as well as some batting. Everyone had a great time and enjoyed playing on a beautiful major league-maintained field.

Animal Care and Control Receives Award

MCACC, Pets, animal care & control, animals, dogs

Maricopa County ACC recently received an award from Best Friends Animal Society. This will be the 7th year in a row that they have received this honor. The award goes to organizations that save more than 90% of the animals in the shelters. Our shelters do a wonderful job taking care of the animals, but they are constantly at capacity which is why we encourage our residents to adopt.

"About Me" from ACC website

"Hi! I’m currently taking a break from the shelter and am hanging out at Heidi’s Village. Please, come by and meet me! I'm an active guy, looking for an active family. I still act like a puppy, so I'm hoping my adopters will help me learn some manners and make sure I'm properly socialized. Once I get all my energy out, I like to snuggle with my people, and eat yummy treats. My adoption fee is a bargain, and it includes all my vaccinations, my microchip, and my neuter surgery!"

McFly is a male, Tan and White Labrador Retriever. He is 3 years old and weighs 57 pounds.
