Supervisor Galvin Condemns Anti-Semitism
I gave remarks just a few days after the awful attacks by Hamas on October 7th. I expressed support for the Jewish community in Maricopa County and condemned the rise of anti-Semitism in our area and around the world. I also condemned the extremists in both political parties who are pushing dangerous anti-Semitic rhetoric.
Carefree: Park and Open Spaces
I had the opportunity to speak at the Carefree Park Informational Presentation. I appreciate the citizen-driven effort to protect one of the last remaining large open space parcels in Carefree.
The vision and leadership displayed by Carefree Park in their effort to develop a non-profit organization to fund the land acquisition and protect this community resource is impressive. I wholeheartedly believe that this project will provide an enduring legacy for the town of Carefree and District 2 and will benefit residents and visitors alike for years to come.
Congratulations on a job well done!
Carefree: Supervisor Galvin Visits Kiwanis Club
I was honored to speak to the Kiwanis Club of Carefree. I gave an overview of Maricopa County, including how the County has cut property taxes each year I've been in office while we have increased investments in public safety. The Kiwanis Club of Carefree is one of the largest Kiwanis clubs in the world. Their focus is on helping children recognize and develop their potential. They support scholarships, summer art programs, youth service organizations and more. Check out their Kiwanis Marketplace Thrift Store in Cave Creek!
Fountain Hills: Supervisor Galvin Applauds Law Enforcement Agreement
The Board recently approved an intergovernmental agreement for law enforcement services with the Town of Fountain Hills and Maricopa County on behalf of the Maricopa County Sheriff's Office. I appreciate the efforts of the Sheriff’s Office and Fountain Hills for working together to get this IGA done so that the Town of Fountain Hills can continue to provide for the public health, safety, and welfare of its residents.
Mesa: ULI NEXT
I spoke to the commercial real estate group, ULI Next, in downtown Mesa. The economic development in Mesa is incredible and many young professionals are responsible for the exciting new projects, stores, and restaurants!
