Welcome to the first ever MCDPH MCH Quarterly Newsletter.
We are the Maternal and Child Health Strategy Team from the Division of Child and Family Health at Maricopa County Department of Public Health. This newsletter will serve as an opportunity for community members to connect with our team, learn about upcoming events and obtain resources. If you would like to share any resources with us, we would be happy to include it in future Quarterly Newsletters.

Train the Trainer Registration
Training on the content includes:
- The science of ACEs, trauma and toxic stress
- The original ACEs study, its findings, and the ongoing evolution of ACEs data
- The impact of ACEs, trauma and toxic stress; including NEAR Science, epigenetics, intergenerational trauma, vicarious trauma and compassion fatigue
- The science of resilience, Positive Childhood Experiences and healing-centered engagement
Cost of Training per person- $399
Upcoming Dates of Training:
Participants must be available to attend the full training time on all five dates

10th Annual ACES and Resilience Summit with the Arizona Adverse Childhood Experiences Consortium
This year’s theme is Renewing Connection, with a focus on building relationships within a trauma informed lens and building trauma responsive systems.
The summit will be held virtually from December 4-7, 2023!
December 4th- Resilient Schools Conference
December 5th- Medical professional conference
December 6th & 7th- 10th Annual ACEs & Resilience Summit which will include 16 interesting and exciting workshops to choose from and recordings of all sessions will be available to registrants for six weeks after the summit!
Registration includes all four days of education! In addition, the Medical Professional day and the Schools Conference are available on their own for FREE!

Research Study For Children Ages 2.5 - 7 Years with concern for autism or who are typically developing
This study will examine if a new investigational medical device, called the EarliPoint™ Evaluation for Autism Spectrum Disorder, can be used to diagnose autism in children ages 31-84 months. The device detects the presence and severity of autism spectrum disorder and related developmental delays.
