 More than Heat Relief
Maricopa County Continues to Provide
Critical Services for People Experiencing Homelessness
As part of an investment of more than $500 million into housing solutions and more than $100 million into homeless services since November 2021, Maricopa County stepped up its critical efforts to provide heat relief to unhoused people over the summer.
While the past few months have been among the hottest on record, heat shelters have provided a safe indoor place for people to escape the high temperatures. In addition to receiving immediate respite from the weather, those experiencing homelessness are connected to services that can help them with housing, employment, and other needs to help them get back on their feet.
