TODAY'S KEY MESSAGE
Enjoy Labor Day on the Lake Safely!
|
|
We have a 3-day weekend coming up for Labor Day and a lot of you may be considering a trip to the lake. While the County's own Lake Pleasant is a great place to cool off with family and friends, there are some precautions you need to take to keep everyone safe.
Tips to Stay Safe Out on the Lake
- Never swim alone or leave kids unattended near water.
- Avoid being distracted while watching kids near the water.
- If a child goes missing, always check the water first.
- Wear a life-jacket.
- Protect yourself from the sun with sunblock, sunglasses, and a hat.
- Drink plenty of water.

Pet of the Week
Mollie Jo is overflowing with sweetness and affection. She can be a little shy at first, but with time she will show you her cuddly side. An ideal home for her is one that offers the patience to let her acclimate and build trust in her new environment. She also needs to be an only dog, and rest assured, there's an abundance of love in her to share with everyone.
Happy Tails
“We adopted Rajah in January 2020. He has taught us so much about life and love. We have met so many new friends because of him, and he has been our favorite travel companion. He has so much personality and opinions—we love hearing them all! Maricopa county made the process easy and introduced us to our best friend.”
