TODAY'S KEY MESSAGE
Rain, Wind, and Flooding Could Return Tonight
|
|
|
More storms are possible tonight as we near the end of Monsoon 2022. Flood watches are in effect until 5 am tomorrow for parts of Maricopa County including Globe, Apache Junction, Fountain Hills, Cave Creek, and Wickenburg. This follows last night's severe storms which brought damaging wind gusts, blowing dust, and localized heavy rainfall, with some locations seeing over one inch of rain!
A Message to Drivers
The Monsoon can bring heavy rain and flash flooding. Maricopa County Department of Transportation crews have been out on County roadways monitoring flooded areas, cleaning debris, and repairing damaged roads. Stay safe and remember: Turn Around, Don’t Drown.
- Don’t drive through flooded areas.
- Don’t drive around barricades.
- Obey all posted signage.
