New COVID-19 Guidance With Increase In Cases, Hospitalizations
|
|
Maricopa County is now experiencing high community transmission of COVID-19 with more reported cases and increased hospitalizations due to the virus. The CDC recommends people in areas of high transmission wear a well-fitting mask indoors in public, regardless of vaccination status. You should also stay up-to-date on all recommended vaccines and boosters. If you test positive, make sure you are following isolation or quarantine guidance.

Where to Get Free COVID-19 Tests.
Register to Vote by Midnight
The voter registration deadline for the August 2 primary is TODAY. Voters have until midnight to register at ServiceArizona.com.
Early ballots for the election will be mailed out starting tomorrow. You can sign up to track your ballot at BeBallotReady.vote.

Redistricting Map Approved
The Board of Supervisors approved a new map adjusting the boundaries of the county’s five supervisorial districts to account for population and demographic changes over the past decade. The new map will be effective on Jan. 1, 2024.

Find a Lost Pet
When pets run away or get lost it can be traumatic for the whole family. Maricopa County Animal Care and Control (MCACC) has partnered with Petco to help reconnect pets with their owners in the month of July by reuniting them at no cost. If you lost your pet over the 4th of July weekend, here are some steps you can take right now:
- Recruit friends and family to help you with a search in the neighborhood and online.
- Bring photos or flyers with contact information.
- Use Nextdoor and your social network to make people know your pet is lost.
- Call 602-372-4598 to create a lost pet report.
- Check the stray animal map tool on our website to view found reports and check for a potential match.
- Register your lost pet with Petco Love Lost and use their free facial recognition technology to view potential matches.
- Search 24PetConnect.com daily for your pet.

Adult Immunization Clinic is Open
Maricopa County Public Health’s Adult Immunization Clinic is open at 1645 E. Roosevelt Street, suite 1130. The clinic is open from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm. Vaccinations are offered at no cost.
