Learn about Clean Air at the Phoenix Zoo
The Maricopa County Air Quality Department has installed an interactive kiosk at the Phoenix Zoo to track pollution.
“This kiosk is designed to allow the public to interact with the air quality data that we have," said Eric Poole, Air Quality Department Data Validation Supervisor.
Both Chairman Bill Gates and Supervisor Jack Sellers attended and cut the ribbon for the new kiosk.
“What is great too is they can learn more information about the impact that air quality can have on people’s health and then also what people can do to improve our air quality,” said Chairman Bill Gates, District 3.
“Educating our public on what we need to do to make our air quality better is absolutely essential,” said Supervisor Jack Sellers, District 1.

Prepare for Monsoon 2022!
Flooding can happen just about anywhere during the monsoon. Are you ready?
First, find out if you live in a floodplain.
If you do, your mortgage company may require you to buy flood insurance; however, you may want to purchase it even if you don’t live within a flood zone. 1 in 4 flood insurance claims come from outside a floodplain.
If you do plan to get flood insurance, now's the time. Flood insurance policies have a 30-day waiting period between purchase date and coverage date.
