Welcome to the Rapid Response Notification Network
Maricopa County, Arizona sent this bulletin at 03/02/2012 11:14 AM MSTYou are receiving this notice to let you know you have been added to the Maricopa County Air Quality Department’s Rapid Response Notification System. As an air quality permit holder or air quality environmental liaison in the vicinity of the notable pollution hot spots within the county, we request your help with a quick response to air quality problems in your area.
This collaborative initiative is an effort to curb dust pollution within your control and help preserve clean air within the region of Maricopa County.
How it works:
When air pollution levels rise, participating Maricopa County air monitoring stations will issue a Rapid Response notification to subscribers. This notice will be sent to permit holders, industry associations, local government agencies, business groups and residents. Once you receive notice, we ask you to take action and stabilize all disturbed soils to reduce blowing dust.
When a Rapid Response Notification is broadcast, we invite everyone within our network to inspect their site as soon as possible to reduce dust pollution. This applies to dirt roads, vacant lots and any dust generating activity.
In addition, Air Quality Department inspectors will also canvass the affected area. If you see a dust control issue, give us a call and describe the situation to 602-372-2703 or file a report online at www.maricopa.gov/aq.
