Maricopa County Supports Veterans
County staff from across departments and the Judicial Branch served service members and their family members at the 2022 Maricopa County Stand Down Event on March 17th. The event connected veterans with healthcare, mental health services, clothing, meals, hygiene services, housing resources, driver’s license availability, court services and many other resources.
ARIZONA@WORK Maricopa County was on hand providing employment services, such as job openings, career exploration and career advice.
Maricopa County Justice Courts had a booth at the Stand Down Event where that met with Veterans to see how they could adjudicate some of their criminal offenses and lower or wipe out fines on less serious crimes. In the video above, see how they helped a mother of two get rid of more than $5,000 worth of fines and put her in a position to get back her driver’s license.
