Johnson and Johnson Vaccine Update
|
|
The Johnson and Johnson COVID-19 vaccine cleared another hurdle today. This afternoon, an FDA advisory committee unanimously recommended approval of an emergency use authorization for the one-shot vaccine. If the EUA is ultimately granted, we could see limited supply of the Johnson and Johnson vaccine arrive in Arizona as early as next week. This would be the third COVID-19 vaccine to get an EUA. Look for updates at Maricopa.gov/COVID19vaccine. |

Who Is Eligible To Get A COVID-19 Vaccine Right Now?
Maricopa County will look to state guidance in determining who will be eligible during the next phase of vaccination. You can find the latest information on eligibility at Maricopa.gov/COVID19Vaccine.

Who Should Not Get The COVID-19 Vaccine?
The only individuals who should not receive the vaccine are those who have a history of severe allergic reaction (such as anaphylaxis or requiring epinephrine injection or hospitalization) to this vaccine or any of its ingredients, including polyethylene glycol (PEG) or polysorbate. Find ingredients in fact sheets for Pfizer vaccine or Moderna vaccine.
If they receive an emergency use authorization, Johnson & Johnson will put out fact sheets for that vaccine as well.
