- Nearly all eligible law enforcement had the opportunity to receive vaccine
- 20,000 K-12 school and childcare workers have been vaccinated so far. First dose events for K-12 school and childcare staff are wrapping up now with second dose events beginning soon.

Pop-up Community Events
Maricopa County Public Health held a pop-up vaccination event in Gila Bend today. It’s one of dozens of events planned to provide vaccine to underserved populations around Maricopa County. Some events focus on adults 65 and older who may not have transportation or internet access. Others focus on refugee populations. Others focus on people for whom English is not their first language. We are working hard to get vaccine to the places where people live and work. Organizations interested in hosting an event can fill out a form to indicate their interest. While we will not be able to accommodate all requests, we will do our best with the limited supply of vaccine we have available.

Where Can I Get A Vaccine Appointment?
There are more opportunities than ever for eligible residents to get vaccinated close to home. Between large vaccination sites, smaller community events, and more than 180 pharmacies offering vaccine, our list of vaccination locations has grown significantly in recent weeks.
Still, vaccine supply is limited so you may not see available appointments every time you check that list. As more vaccine becomes available, more appointments will open up. For now, we encourage people to check back weekly for updates.

How Is Vaccine Delivered To Maricopa County?
Maricopa County vaccine administration sites typically receive vaccine about one week after it is allocated. However, the number of vaccine doses we get can vary from week to week. Winter weather has delayed shipments over the past week across the country, leading to questions about appointments people have.
Public Health tries to open only the number of appointments for which we are sure we have vaccine available. The state has assured us that they will make sure we have vaccine for scheduled appointments. As a result, we are not cancelling any appointments at this time due to limited supply of vaccine.

Is Maricopa County Using All Of Its Vaccine Allocation?
The most recent data show 88% of vaccine doses allocated to Maricopa County vaccine administration sites have been gone into people’s arms. You may wonder why that number is not 100%. There are a few reasons:
- Some amount of vaccine is always in-transit from the manufacturer to the state and onto the county administration sites.
- Maricopa County tries to keep enough vaccine on hand to honor scheduled appointments for the following week.
