GCU Vaccination Site Is Invitation-Only To Start
Grand Canyon University opened up a vaccination site on its campus in central Phoenix today to address the high demand for second dose appointments. Initially, these appointments at GCU will be by invitation only for those who received their first dose at Maricopa County’s Chandler or Goodyear POD locations. The events are only viewable in the ADHS vaccine scheduling system by those who are notified by email (from podvaccine-noreply@azdhs.gov) and provided instructions on how to make an appointment. Those who received their first dose earlier in the vaccine rollout will receive invitations first. This is being done to ensure people get their second dose as close to the recommended timeframe as possible. New locations and appointments will continue to be made available for second doses over the next several weeks, subject to availability of vaccine.
At this time, all GCU vaccinations are by appointment only; no walk-ins.

Vaccine Safety
One Year Ago Today
One year ago today we had our first confirmed case of COVID-19 in Maricopa County. We’ve learned a lot about the virus since then, and all of us have adjusted our lives as more information comes out about how to protect ourselves and our loved ones. We are so grateful to you for doing what you can to protect yourself, your loved ones, your neighbors, and your community. We ask that you continue to do your part as we work with our community partners to get more people vaccinated.
If you’re sick, stay home. If you’re not, wear a mask and social distance in public anyway because asymptomatic people can spread COVID-19, too. And if you have any doubts, get tested.
There’s an end in sight, but we’re not there yet.
