March 4 is the Last Recommended Day for Voters to Mail Back Ballots for Tempe and Chandler City Elections

March 3, 2020 (Phoenix) – Voters in Tempe and Chandler have until March 4 to mail back their ballots for the Tempe and Chandler Jurisdictional Election. After that date, the Maricopa County Elections Department recommends voters drop off their ballot at any voting location or designated ballot drop box location.

In order to be valid and counted, state law requires voters to return marked ballots to the Election Department or a voting location by 7 p.m. on Election Day, which is March 10 for the jurisdictional elections.

Ballot Replacement Centers are available for voters to drop off ballots in person or replace a lost or damaged ballot. Find a complete list of locations and hours of operation at Locations.Maricopa.Vote.

“Maricopa County is excited to assist the cities of Tempe and Chandler conduct this important election,” said Maricopa County Recorder Adrian Fontes. “It’s important that voters mail-in or drop-off their ballots so our office receives them in time to count. Be sure to put those city election ballots in the envelope with the black stripe on it.”

Registered Democrats on the permanent early voting list in Tempe and Chandler have TWO ballots. Voters must return city election ballots in the envelope with the BLACK stripe BY MARCH 10 and the Democratic Presidential Preference Election ballot in the envelope with the RED stripe BY MARCH 17.

Voters can track their ballot by texting "Join" to 628-683 or visiting TextSignUp.Maricopa.Vote. The text message service will notify voters when their ballot is mailed, received, verified and sent to be counted.

The Tempe and Chandler Jurisdictional Election Day is Tuesday, March 10, 2020.

El 4 de marzo es el último día recomendado para que los votantes envíen las boletas por correo para las elecciones de las ciudades de Tempe y Chandler 

3 de marzo de 2020 (Phoenix) – Los votantes en Tempe y Chandler tienen hasta el 4 de marzo para devolver sus boletas por correo para la Elección Jurisdiccional de Tempe y Chandler. Los votantes pueden rastrear su boleta enviando un mensaje de texto con la palabra "Unirse" al 628-683 o visitando RecibeTextos.Maricopa.Voto. El servicio de mensajes de texto notificará a los votantes cuando su boleta sea enviada, se reciba, se verifique y se envíe para ser contada.
