Today is the Last Day to Register to Vote for the Democratic Presidential Preference Election

February 18, 2020 (Phoenix) – Voters must register or change their political party affiliation for the March 17 Democratic Presidential Preference Election by 11:59 p.m. today. State law only allows voters registered as Democrats to participate in the March 17 election.

The Republican and Libertarian parties opted out of the Preference Election this year. Maricopa County voters can check their party affiliation and registration status at BeBallotReady.vote.

“We encourage all voters to verify that their voter registration is up to date and that they are registered with the party of their choice before the registration deadline. This verification is especially important with the specific requirements to cast a ballot in the March 17 election,” said Maricopa County Recorder Adrian Fontes. “Voters can now easily check their official party status on BeBallotReady.vote. Only voters officially registered with the Democratic Party before midnight tonight are eligible for this preference election.”

Register to vote online at www.ServiceArizona.com or register in-person at the Maricopa County Tabulation and Election Center at 510 S. 3rd Ave. in Phoenix before midnight. Voters can also visit the following Maricopa County offices before 4:59 p.m. on Tuesday, February 18 to register:  

Downtown Phoenix
111 S. 3rd Ave.
Phoenix, AZ 85003

Southeast Mesa
222 E. Javelina Ave.
Mesa, AZ 85210

The voter registration deadline for any election is 29 days prior to Election Day, per Arizona Revised Statutes §16-101(3). The deadline for this election is 28 days prior to Election Day due to the Presidents’ Day Holiday.

The Democratic Presidential Preference Election is on March 17, 2020.

Hoy es el último día para registrarse para votar para la Elección de Preferencia Presidencial Demócrata

18 de febrero (Phoenix) - Los votantes deben registrarse o cambiar su afiliación de partido político para la Elección de Preferencia Presidencial Demócrata del 17 de marzo para las 11:59 p.m. hoy. La ley estatal sólo permite a los votantes registrados como demócratas participar en la Elección del 17 de marzo.

El partido Republicano y Libertario optaron por no participar en la Elección de Preferencia Presidencial de este ano. Los votantes del Condado Maricopa pueden verificar su afiliación de partido y estado de registro en TengaBoletaLista.voto.

"Alentamos a todos los votantes a verificar que su registro de votante esté actualizado y que estén registrados con el partido de su elección antes de la fecha límite de registro. Esta verificación es especialmente importante con los requisitos específicos para emitir una boleta en la elección del 17 de marzo," declaró el Registrador del Condado Maricopa Adrian Fontes. "Los votantes ahora pueden verificar fácilmente el estado oficial de su partido político en TengaBoletaLista.voto. Sólo los votantes registrados oficialmente en el Partido Demócrata antes de la medianoche de hoy serán elegibles en esta elección de preferencia."

Regístrese para votar en www.ServiceArizona.com o visite el Centro de Elecciones y Tabulación del Condado Maricopa antes de la media noche, ubicado en 510 S 3rd Ave, Phoenix, AZ 85003; o visite cualquiera de las siguientes ubicaciones de Registro del Condado Maricopa antes de las 4:59 p.m. del martes 18 de febrero:

La fecha límite para el registro de votantes para cualquier elección es 29 días antes del Día de la Elección, según los Estatutos Revisados   de Arizona §16-101 (3). La fecha límite para esta elección es 28 días antes del día de la elección debido al día festivo del día de los presidentes.

La Elección de Preferencia Presidencial Demócrata es el 17 de marzo de 2020.
