Chandler and Tempe Early Voting Begins Today - Update

Chandler and Tempe Early Voting Begins Today

Updated at 4:13 p.m. - February 12, 2020 (PHOENIX) — Ballots are in the mail today for 235,054 Tempe and Chandler voters participating in the March 10 all-mail election.

Eligible voters should expect to see a yellow envelope in their mailbox within the next few days. Voters can verify their registration status, learn what’s on their ballot, and track their ballot at BeBallotReady.vote.

“Local elections are at the heart of our democracy. It’s our goal to ensure voters have access to accurate information and reliable results,” said Maricopa County Recorder Adrian Fontes.

The City of Tempe is holding their Mayoral and City Council election and the City of Chandler is holding a special election on Prop 426. The Election Department must receive Tempe and Chandler ballots by 7 p.m. on March 10 for the vote to count.

In addition to the March 10 election, registered Democrats also have the Presidential Preference Election on March 17. Over 66,500 voters on the Permanent Early Voting List in Tempe and Chandler will have two ballots. The city elections have a BLACK stripe on the envelope and the Democratic Presidential Preference Election has a RED stripe on the envelope.

Tempe and Chandler voters have the option of mailing their ballot back, dropping their ballot at any voting location or ballot drop box, or visiting one of four voting locations to vote in-person. Voters who chose to return their ballot through the postal service are encouraged to complete and send their ballot by March 4, 2020 to ensure the ballot reaches the Elections Department by 7 p.m. on Election Day.

Hoy Comienza la Votación Temprana en Chandler y Tempe

Actualizado a las 4:13 p.m. - 12 de febrero de 2020 (PHOENIX) — Hoy se envían las boletas por correo a los votantes de 235,054 Tempe y Chandler que participan en la elección por correo del 10 de marzo.

Los votantes elegibles deben esperar ver en los próximos días un sobre amarillo en su buzón de correo postal. Los votantes pueden verificar su estado de registro, saber qué contiene su boleta y rastrear su boleta en TengaBoletaLista.Voto.

“Las elecciones locales están en el corazón de nuestra democracia. Nuestro objetivo es garantizar que los votantes tengan acceso a información precisa y resultados confiables," dijo el Registrador del Condado Maricopa, Adrian Fontes.

La Ciudad de Tempe está llevando a cabo las elecciones para la Alcaldía y el Consejo Municipal y la Ciudad de Chandler está llevando a cabo una elección especial sobre la Proposición 426.
