About Us

Maricopa County Environmental Services provides essential, regional environmental services seeking to prevent and remove environmental health risks. The Department’s Environmental Health Specialists and Field Technicians are in the community every day making sure that among other things, food in all the eating and drinking establishments in the County is protected from contamination, that water supplies throughout the County are safe to drink, and that vector borne health illnesses and risks are minimized. It is our belief that with continued support, future generations will reap the benefits of today’s actions.

As you may recall, Maricopa County Environmental Services Department (ESD) moved its Intake Counter to the new Development Services Center co-located with Planning & Development on the second floor at 501 N 44th Street in Phoenix.

While you may still conduct some business at our different regional offices, and also take advantage of our growing number of online services, payment remittance by mail should be sent to our new customer service location:

Make sure to save this new payment and mailing address in your records.

Remember, for your convenience, payments and other business transactions can easily be submitted online: ESD.Maricopa.gov (Pay Online)

ESD Applications & Forms at your fingertips

Need to apply for a permit with ESD? Are you looking for the online or printable form for an application or service request? 

Simply visit our Website: ESD.Maricopa.gov . In the middle of the Home page click on the Application & Forms icon (see screen shot below).  

You'll find a variety of forms related to our department services and programs, such as food businesses and operations, public & semi-public pools, stormwater events, septic systems and others.
