Open Enrollment begins today!

It’s here! Open Enrollment is THE ONE OPPORTUNITY for you to change your benefits and add or remove dependents so that you and your family are covered for 2017-2018. There are a few changes this year, including the addition of a new medical plan- the Cigna High Deductible Health Plan (HDHP) with Health Savings Account (HSA). Enroll and submit your elections by May 12 at https://portal.adp.com.

If you do not access the ADP portal to make elections, your current year elections, including waiving benefits, will carry over. Payroll deductions for contributions to flexible spending accounts or your health savings account will NOT carry over.

Congratulations Roseann Osborn Perez

Roseann Osborn Perez, Division Manager for MCDOT’s Infrastructure Technology Center, is the first recipient of the Tom Manos Outstanding Service. Roseann was awarded for her ability to anticipate the needs of others, find solutions to the most complex and difficult problems, and make life better for others through a commitment to exceptional service and lean, efficient government.

Maricopa County Emergency Management teamed up with federal, state and local agencies for an emergency drill on March 16. The six-hour exercise at Desert Edge High School in Goodyear tested the community’s ability to conduct evacuee operations in preparation for potential emergencies at Palo Verde Nuclear Generating Station. Durango Grill Café Open for Business

If you work anywhere near the Durango Complex, it is easy to feel like you are on an island. It is a massive county campus with few private businesses nearby. But the oasis tucked away in a nondescript building off Durango Street is once again serving burgers, sandwiches, and daily specials from 6:30 am to 2 pm. The Durango Grill Café was recently renovated with new paint, floors, furniture, and kitchen equipment.

“Everything’s good!” announced Chef Richard Villoria during a recent visit. The menu is eclectic with many American favorites but also features vegetarian options, fruit smoothies, and soon a brand new salad bar. There is also an espresso/coffee bar and breakfast is served all day! Enjoy!
