Tempe Diablos Charities
Welcome to the 2017 Tempe Diablos Excellence in Education award nomination site! It is truly our honor to bring you this program as we celebrate the work of the educators and staff members that exemplify the extraordinary, creative, and inspirational quality of education that the youth of our community receive. Over the past 28 years, the Diablos have had the privilege of supporting programs which enhance and enrich our children’s lives in our community. Through these programs, we have been exposed to the astonishing work that our educators and staff members execute on a daily basis to win our children’s hearts and inspire their minds.
Fund for Teachers
Fund for Teachers provides educators possessing a broad vision of what it means to teach and learn, the resources needed to pursue self-designed professional learning experiences. FFT grants are used for an unlimited variety of projects; all designed to create enhanced learning environments for teachers, their students, and their school communities. We believe that supporting teachers' active participation in their own professional growth, positively impacts student learning and achievement.
For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology
FIRST® (For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology) announced the launch of the 2017 FIRST STEM Equity Community Innovation Grant, adding to its commitment to address the inequities in science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) among underrepresented and underserved students.
