Gingerbread Workshop 12/03/2016 To 12/16/2016
Start a new family tradition! Decorate your very own Gingerbread House in this creative and edible program! The Museum will provide the gingerbread, a candy buffet, and hot cocoa. The best part about it, we'll clean up the mess! Admission to the program is $30 for members (group of 4), and $35 for non-members (group of 4). Space is limited.

Tonight, we will be offering our Giant Gingerbread People program! You'll

Chorus and Band
Two classes that you do not want to miss are this chorus and/or
band class. It is uplifting and fun to sing with fellow homeschoolers. The band
plays lots of movie songs that are fun! This chorus class requires no previous
experience. The band class is for intermediate players, but I have more
information available for beginners.

GLENDALE, Ariz. - The only real outdoor ice skating rink in the Valley opens at Westgate and its part of a slew of winter events happening at the outdoor entertainment venue.
The rink operates for seven weeks from Nov. 22 - Jan. 8.
There are also horse-drawn carriage rides that are free to all.
There is a snowfall that happens twice nightly and Santa Claus is on-hand to listen to Christmas wishes and pose for photos.
On Tuesday, Nov. 22 for the opening of the ice rink, Westgate will host the Holiday Tree Lighting, turning on a 33-foot holiday tree. The event runs from 6:30 p.m. - 9 p.m.

Featuring 1.5 million LED lights, this holiday display is a family-friendly event that features entertainment, food, handcrafted gifts, a winter wonderland area for kids and special visits from St. Nicholas. “The Nutcracker”
First performed in St. Petersburg, Russia, in 1892, Tchaikovsky's fairy-tale ballet is a holiday tradition for families around the globe. Ballet Arizona's annual "Nutcracker" is a true spectacle staged with 260 costumes, 25 backdrops and 200 pounds of falling "snow."

Ingredients

4 cups all-purpose flour

1 1/2 cups water

1 cup salt
Directions:

Preheat oven to 300 degrees F (150 degrees C).

Combine the flour, salt and water; mix well and knead for 10 minutes. Roll out on a lightly floured surface.

Cut into desired shapes and make holes for hanging. Bake for 30 minutes; allow to cool

Decorate with poster paints or tube paints. Allow to dry and spray with clear polyurethane on both sides to preserve. Use ribbon or yarn pieces to hang.
