Join us in celebrating the 250th anniversary of the founding of the United States by reading 250 minutes or participating in library programs during March and April. Whether you dive into a great book, attend an event, or explore something new, every minute counts!
Complete the challenge, and you’ll be entered into a drawing for a grand prize. Prizes are available for all ages, with 12 winners selected through monthly drawings.

Get to Know Desert Tortoises with AZ Game and Fish Saturday, March 7 10:30 AM-12:00 PM Main Library
What has a dome-shaped shell, lays eggs, and is a bit faster than a snail? If you guessed a tortoise, you're right! Wildlife experts from the Arizona Game and Fish Department, along with our friends from the Glendale Water Conservation Department, are joining us to talk about these slow-and-steady reptiles, their environments, favorite foods, and survival skills. We will also learn about what it takes to adopt a captive desert tortoise from Arizona Game and Fish. First-come, first-served.
