Loop 202 (Santan Freeway) closures in the East Valley this weekend
Work related to freeway management system installation project
Work to install traffic-management equipment will require parts of the Loop 202 to be closed in the East Valley, according to the Arizona Department of Transportation.
Drivers should expect the following Loop 202 restrictions beginning Friday night:
- Loop 202 (Santan Freeway) eastbound closed between Loop 101 (Price Freeway) and Alma School Road from 9 p.m. Friday (Feb.20) to noon Saturday (Feb.21). Loop 101 southbound ramp to Loop 202 eastbound closed. DETOUR: Use alternate routes to southbound Alma School Road to reach Loop 202 eastbound.

Loop 202 westbound closed between Kyrene Road and I-10 from 9 p.m. Saturday (Feb.21) to noon Sunday (Feb.22). Loop 101 (Price Freeway) southbound ramp to Loop 202 westbound closed. McClintock Road on-ramp to westbound Loop 202 also closed. DETOUR: Traffic exiting at Kyrene Road can go north to westbound Ray Road to reach I-10.
