Loop 101 (Price Freeway) Update

Watch for Loop 101 (Price Freeway) Restrictions in Chandler This Weekend, Next Week

The project to add 12 miles of HOV lanes to the Loop 202 (Santan Freeway) between Interstate 10 and Gilbert Road, and construct ramps to connect them with existing HOV lanes on the Loop 101 (Price Freeway) and I-10, will continue to impact travel on the Loop 101 in Chandler in the coming weeks. Now at 90-percent completion, however, the project is scheduled to end in about two months. For area motorists, this will mean a series of upcoming restrictions that will slow travel now – but pay off with improved traffic flow in the southeast valley by fall.

Beginning tonight at 10 p.m., the ramp from southbound Loop 101 to eastbound Loop 202 will be closed for grading work and painting. It is scheduled to re-open at 6 p.m. Sunday (Aug. 14). Use Frye Road to Dobson Road to access eastbound Loop 202. This closure is scheduled to repeat from 9 p.m. Wednesday (Aug. 17) to 5 a.m. Thursday (Aug. 18) AND from 10 p.m. Friday (Aug. 19) to 6 p.m. Sunday (Aug. 21).
