I-17 Black Canyon Highway Update - South of Loop 101

 

 

Closures on Interstate 17 This Weekend Between McDowell and Indian School Roads

Freeway improvement work in the Phoenix area will require lane and ramp closures on Interstate 17 this weekend. Drivers are asked to plan ahead and allow for extra travel time and consider alternate routes if possible while the following restrictions are in place:

• Northbound I-17 will be closed between McDowell and Indian School roads from 10 p.m. Friday to noon Saturday (July 30) for sign work. Both I-10 ramps to northbound I-17 closed at ‘Stack’ interchange. DETOUR: Northbound I-17 traffic will detour along frontage road.

• Both I-17 ramps to westbound Loop 101 closed 10 p.m. Friday to 6 p.m. Saturday (July 30) and from 8 p.m. Saturday to 5 a.m. Monday (Aug. 1) for Loop 101 HOV lane construction. DETOUR: I-17 traffic can exit at Yorkshire Drive or Deer Valley Road toward 27th Avenue and use Beardsley frontage road to access westbound Loop 101.
