Striping work underway on State Route 90 in Sierra Vista

Motorists on State Route 90 in Sierra Vista will encounter travel restrictions through Wednesday, Nov. 21, while the Arizona Department of Transportation stripes two segments of recently resurfaced highway.

Moving lane closures are in effect daily between 8:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. on State Route 90:

  • East of the SR 90 bypass route to approximately Campus Drive,

  • East of the commercial district near SR 90 and State Route 92 to approximately a half-mile past Moson Road.

The striping equipment will travel in one lane while the other lane remains open to traffic. Delays of up to 10 minutes can be expected.

ADOT advises drivers to proceed through the work zone with caution, slow down, and be alert for construction equipment and personnel.

ADOT works to inform the public about planned highway restrictions, but there is a possibility that unscheduled closures or restrictions may occur. Weather can also affect a project schedule.
