I-10 Val Vista to Earley Road Widening Update

Rubberized asphalt paving on Interstate 10 widening project near Casa Grande continues through next week
Work will require lane and ramp restrictions throughout the work zone 

As crews continue rubberized asphalt paving as part of the I-10 widening project between Val Vista and Earley roads a number of ramps will need to be closed for several hours. Additionally, motorists should expect lane restrictions along I-10, McCartney Road and Florence Boulevard.

Although this paving does not signal completion of the project, when this paving is finished all three lanes of traffic in each direction will open. As work continues after the paving, there will still be periods of time when restrictions are necessary to finish the widening project, so please use caution when traveling in the work zone and follow detour signs. Drivers should be aware of the following restrictions:

Monday, August 20

• Eastbound I-10 narrowed to one lane near Earley Road from 7 p.m. Monday to 5 a.m. Tuesday (Aug. 21).

Tuesday, August 21

• Westbound I-10 narrowed to one lane near Val Vista Road from 7 p.m. Tuesday to 5 a.m. Wednesday (Aug. 22).

Wednesday, August 22

• Eastbound I-10 off-ramp at McCartney Road closed from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday.
• Westbound I-10 on-ramp at McCartney Road closed from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. Wednesday.
• McCartney Road narrowed to one lane at -10 from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m. Wednesday.
• Westbound I-10 off-ramp at Florence Boulevard closed from 8 p.m. Wednesday to 1 a.m. Thursday (Aug. 23). 
• Eastbound I-10 on-ramp ramp at Florence Boulevard closed from 10 p.m. Wednesday to 2 a.m. Thursday (Aug. 23).
• Florence Boulevard narrowed to two lanes at I-10 from 10 p.m. Wednesday to 3 a.m. Thursday (Aug. 23).

Thursday, August 23

• Westbound I-10 narrowed to one lane near McCartney Road from 2 a.m. to 5 a.m. Thursday.
• Westbound I-10 off-ramp at McCartney Road closed from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday.
• Eastbound I-10 on-ramp at McCartney Road closed from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. Thursday.
• McCartney Road narrowed to one lane at -10 from 8 p.m. to midnight Friday (Aug. 24).
• Westbound I-10 on-ramp at Florence Boulevard closed from 10 p.m. Thursday to 2 a.m. Friday (Aug. 24). 
• Eastbound I-10 off-ramp ramp at Florence Boulevard closed from 11 p.m. Thursday to 4 a.m. Friday (Aug. 24).

Friday, August 24

• Florence Boulevard narrowed to two lanes at I-10 from 1 a.m. to 5 a.m. Friday.
