Bridge construction on SR 89A Spur (Fain Road) at Lakeshore Drive scheduled

Northbound on-ramp closed for three months starting Monday

 

Starting Monday (June 11) crews will continue construction on the new northbound bridge over Lakeshore Drive and the realignment of the on-ramp to accommodate the new two-lane roadway parallel to Fain Road, according to the Arizona Department of Transportation. The northbound on-ramp from Lakeshore Drive onto SR 89A Spur (Fain Road) will be closed for the next three months to provide a safe work zone as the bridge is under construction.

 

Drivers using Lakeshore Drive in Prescott Valley will be redirected through a detour to Robert Road to gain access to SR 89A traveling toward Prescott while the on-ramp is closed.

 

The construction detour will be clearly marked by temporary barricades and signage. ADOT advises drivers to proceed through the work zone with caution, slow down, and be alert for construction equipment and personnel. Drivers should allow extra time to reach their destinations.

 

ADOT works to inform the public about planned highway restrictions, but there is a possibility that unscheduled closures or restrictions may occur. Weather can also affect a project schedule.
