North- and southbound Loop 101 (Pima Freeway) lane and ramp restrictions planned Sept. 24-28

The Arizona Department of Transportation advises drivers to plan for the following closures and restrictions for final lane striping and electrical work on the Loop 101 (Pima Freeway), Princess Drive/Pima Road to Shea Boulevard pavement project in north Scottsdale:

  • Southbound Loop 101 will be narrowed to three lanes overnight between Princess Drive/Pima Road and Shea Boulevard from 10 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 24, to 5 a.m. Friday, Sept. 25.
  • North- and southbound Loop 101 on- and off-ramp lane restrictions and ramp closures are scheduled in the project area at times from 10 p.m. Friday, Sept. 25, to 5 a.m. Monday, Sept. 28. Drivers may use the next on- or off-ramp along the freeway or follow the posted detour signs. Consecutive on- and off-ramps will not be closed simultaneously.
  • Southbound Loop 101 will be narrowed to two lanes between Hayden Road and Princess Drive/Pima Road from 8 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 26, to 5 a.m. Monday, Sept. 28. At the same time, the following ramps will be closed:
    • The southbound Loop 101 on-ramp at Hayden Road
    • The southbound Loop 101 off-ramp at Princess Drive/Pima Road

Law enforcement officers will be on site and the speed limit will be reduced in the work zone. 

ADOT advises drivers to use caution and be prepared to slow down and merge safely when approaching and traveling through all work zones.
