Lane restrictions on US 93 in Kingman to remain in place through early 2027 as work continues on new I-40/US 93 interchange

I-40 US 93 West Kingman Construction

Construction progress continues on the new US 93 travel lanes. The new Fort Beale Drive tunnel was completed and open to traffic in September. It is to the left of the Beale Street tunnel, where traffic is being routed to allow for the construction of the new northbound US 93 segment.

The Arizona Department of Transportation advises motorists that the lane restrictions on US 93 currently in place between the junction with I-40 and Coyotes Pass (mileposts 71-69) will remain in place through early 2027.

Northbound US 93 is narrowed to one lane, and vehicles are now routed through the new Beale Street tunnel. This lane closure is in effect for the next couple of months.

Southbound US 93 is narrowed to one lane between Coyote Pass and the I-40 junction (mileposts 69-71). The southbound lane restriction will be in effect through the remainder of the project.

  • Drivers should be prepared to slow down and make frequent stops when approaching and driving through the work zone.

The restrictions are needed as work continues on the I-40/US 93 West Kingman Traffic Interchange project, which is about 80% complete. For more information, visit the project webpage.
