Plan for daily lane closures on SR 79 between mileposts 140 and 141 in Pinal County July 27-29

North- and southbound flagging operations will be in place

The Arizona Department of Transportation advises motorists to plan for the following State Route 79 lane restrictions in Pinal County as crews work on the SR 79 Passing Lane Project:

North- and southbound SR 79 will be narrowed to one lane between mileposts 140 and 141 each day from 5 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday, July 27, through Wednesday, July 29.

  • Flagging operations will direct north- and southbound motorists through a single lane, one direction at a time. Drivers should be prepared to come to a complete stop and expect delays.
  • The speed limit will be reduced to 25 mph while the flagging operation is in place.

ADOT advises drivers to use caution and be prepared to slow down and merge safely when approaching and traveling through all work zones.
