Plan for a lane closure on SR 79 between mileposts 147 and 148 in Pinal County July 9

North- and southbound flagging operations will be in place

The Arizona Department of Transportation advises motorists to plan for the following State Route 79 lane restrictions in Pinal County as crews work on the SR 79 Passing Lane Project:

SR 79 will be narrowed to one lane between milepost 147 and 148 from 5 a.m. to 6 p.m., on Thursday, July 9.

  • Flagging operations will direct north- and southbound motorists through a single lane, one direction at a time. Drivers should be prepared to come to a complete stop for up to ten minutes.
  • The speed limit will be reduced to 25 mph while the flagging operation is in place.

ADOT advises drivers to use caution and be prepared to slow down and merge safely when approaching and traveling through all work zones.
