UPDATE: Southbound Loop 101 (Agua Fria Freeway) lane restrictions and ramp closures between Indian School Road and Interstate 10 planned overnight May 19 and 20

This advisory updates the number of lanes open along Loop 101 and the duration of the ramp closures. 

The Arizona Department of Transportation advises Phoenix area drivers to plan for the following lane restrictions and ramp closures for work on the Loop 101 (Agua Fria Freeway) and Interstate 10 interchange project: 

• UPDATED: Southbound Loop 101 will be narrowed to one or two lanes between Indian School Road and I-10 from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. Tuesday night, May 19, and Wednesday night, May 20. The following ramps will be intermittently closed:
• The southbound Loop 101 on- and off-ramps at Indian School and Thomas roads
• The southbound Loop 101 off-ramp at McDowell Road
• NOTE (UPDATED): Loop 101 on- and off-ramps will not be closed simultaneously. Ramps are anticipated to be closed for 10-15 minutes at a time. Crews will be moving around the area based on progress.

ADOT advises drivers to use caution and be prepared to slow down and merge safely when approaching and traveling through all work zones.
