The Arizona Department of Transportation advises drivers in Tucson to plan for the following restrictions on Interstate 10 between Park Avenue and Alvernon Way, May 3-9 for roadwork:
Lane Restrictions:
- East-and-westbound Ajo Way between Bernard Drive and Kino Parkway/Ajo Way access road will continue to be narrowed to one lane 24-hours a day through early 2027. Drivers are advised to use alternate routes.

UPDATED: East-and-westbound Irvington Road between Outlet Center Drive and Palo Verde Road will continue to be narrowed to one lane 24-hours a day through late-May. Drivers are advised to use alternate routes.

UPDATED: North-and-southbound Palo Verde Road between Irvington Road and the eastbound I-10 on-and-off-ramps will be narrowed to one lane 24-hours a day starting Monday, May 4, at 5 a.m., through 5 a.m., on Saturday, May 9. Drivers are advised to use alternate routes.

UPDATED: North-and-southbound Palo Verde Road at the I-10 underpass will be closed to through traffic overnight from 8 p.m., on Tuesday, May 5, through 5 a.m., the morning of Wednesday, May 6. This is an overnight closure. Access to businesses will be maintained at all times.
Detours: - Drivers accessing northbound Palo Verde Road should take the Alvernon Way frontage road to Alvernon Way, then take Alvernon Way north to Irvington Road, then take Irvington Road west to Palo Verde Road. - Drivers accessing southbound Palo Verde Road should take Irvington Road east to Alvernon Way, then take Alvernon Way south to Benson Highway, then take Benson Highway northwest to Palo Verde Road.

UPDATED: Eastbound I-10 at Kino Parkway will be narrowed to one lane nightly from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m., on Wednesday, May 6, through the morning of Saturday, May 9. This is a recurring nightly restriction.
Ramp Closure:
- The I-10 eastbound on-ramp at Kino Parkway will be closed nightly from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m., on Sunday, May 3, through the morning of Saturday, May 9. This is a recurring nightly closure.
Detour: - Drivers accessing eastbound I -10 should take Kino Parkway south to Benson Highway, then take Benson Highway west to Park Avenue, then take Park Avenue north to the eastbound I-10 on-ramp.

Detour: - Drivers accessing northbound Palo Verde Road should take I-10 eastbound to Alvernon Way (exit 265), then take Alvernon Way north to Irvington Road, then take Irvington Road west to Palo Verde Road

Detour: - Drivers accessing Kino Parkway should take the off-ramp at Benson Highway/Park Avenue (exit 262), then take Benson Highway southeast to Campbell Avenue, then take Campbell Avenue north to Kino Parkway.
**Upcoming Restrictions:
- The westbound I-10 off-ramp (exit 262) to Park Avenue will be closed up to 90-days, beginning the weekend of Friday, May 15.
- The eastbound I-10 on-ramp at Park Avenue will be closed up to 90-days, beginning the weekend of Friday, May 15.
- The westbound I-10 on-ramp at Palo Verde Road will be permanently closed starting at 9 p.m., on Sunday, May 17.
- Traffic on east-and-westbound I-10 between Park Avenue and Country Club Road, will be shifted to the newly constructed median lanes beginning the weekend of Friday, May 15.
Drivers should allow extra travel time, use caution, be prepared to slow down, and merge safely when approaching and traveling through all work zones.
The Arizona Department of Transportation advises drivers to use designated detours when there are closures on state highways. Schedules are subject to change based on weather and other unforeseen factors.
