Plan for lane restrictions on State Route 188 beginning March 23

The Arizona Department of Transportation advises drivers to plan for the following lane restrictions on State Route 188 north of Claypool (milepost 225) to SR 87 (milepost 276.7) for pavement maintenance:

• Alternating east- and westbound travel on SR 188 between mileposts 225 and 276.7 daily from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday beginning Monday, March 23.
• Rolling lane restrictions as crews work through the project area.
• Flaggers will assist drivers through the work zone.

Crews will conduct fog sealing, crack sealing, and striping. The work is anticipated to be completed by early May 2026.

Schedules are subject to change based on weather and other unforeseen factors.

Motorists should allow extra travel time, use caution, be prepared to slow down and merge safely when approaching and traveling through all work zones.
